A Simple Device That Can Make a Big Difference
An air-over-oil intensifier converts standard shop air to hydraulic pressure at the point where significantly greater force is required. This saves money and space within the facility because there is no need for a separate hydraulic system.
The intensifier uses a pneumatic cylinder to pressurize a reservoir of hydraulic fluid according to a certain ratio so that enough volume is delivered from the booster to the brake to fully engage or disengage it as needed.
OVLBOOST Works in Smaller Spaces

OVLBOOST Specs
OVLBOOST is available in two sizes–25mm and 44mm–both with a 7.8:1 ratio that can produce up to 780 psi. The device features:
- Extruded high-strength aluminum body
- Anodized aluminum heads
- Low profile
- Single-side (larger face) or rear porting options allow the device to be installed either vertically or horizontally
The fluid displacement volume for OVLBOOST is proportionate to the stroke length of the specific intensifier. For a larger displacement volume, you’ll need to increase the stroke length. Standard stokes are 1.5 and 3 inches in both 25mm and 44mm bore sizes.
